May 2010: Welcome at Crystal Waters, Luke!
We're very happy that Luke joined our team! As our wrangler, he will guide our guests out on the trails. After just one day at the ranch, he already found his buddy: he fell in love with ranch horse "Joe". Every day he proves his horse and bush sense, and I started to call him eagle eye, because there's no animal in the bush he wouldn't see. We saw black bears, deer, beavers and eagles out on the trails. Additionally, he loves to go fishing and hunting and it's lots of fun to practice roping with the dummy.
Our Irish guests, who opened the trailride season with us, made him sing at the campfire. We didn't get around to line dance yet, but this will come, too :-)
So all we can say is: Have the adventure holiday of your lifetime - come and ride with us!
February 14, 2010: New life at Crystal Waters!
Right in time for Valentine's Day, we got them: our Red Heelers "Bandit" and "Pepper" arrive at the ranch and immeditately start to chew on just everything. Shoes, tools, leather stuff and garbage bins have to be kept in a height of at least 3ft from now on. But we're looking forward to the trailride season and to have two new little buddies with us.
December 27 - 28, 2009: Ice Fishing with the Boys
Thilo, Klaus, Gerold, Karlheinz, Sammy and Martin went out to English Lake for an ice fishing trip. Sleeping in Lee's trapper cabin, they had two days of perfect weather, some really big catches and - most of all - a lot of fun!

The Crystal Waters Dude Horse Bunch is happy now: there's hay, yeah!
October 29, 2009: "Say Goodbye to mommy!"
The first snow covers the ground, so it's time to catch the babies out in the field, to separate them from their mommies and to bring them in for proper feeding during the winter.

The first load of winter hay arrived. Did I order too much? Hm, it won't be enough for the whole winter, since we have about 27 horses to feed, and some moose will visit the bales, too. Anyway, it's enough for the beginning, now we are well equipped for snow!

Family Knöpfel from Switzerland spent a great weekend with us. Fabienne wrote me some days later:
„Thanks again for having such a great time on your gorgeous ranch. It was really great, and it was always my dream to visit a rqanch like yours. I really much enjoyed to be around the horses and to help you. Not just arrive, ride and go away. Now I know how much I missed the horses and to go horseback riding. When I'm back home again, I'll go riding again, of course only western riding!"
